A New Age: The Lions’ Den Goes Digital

By Sammi Dorfan ‘18

It has been one year since the Lions’ Den embarked on its inaugural journey online, and while we do miss the smell of papers fresh off the press, our senses are even more excited by the electronic world in front of us. Since going online:

  • Our staff has increased by 60%
  • Articles have been uploaded upon completion, rather than as part of a batch at the end of the month
  • Colored photos have embellished our stories
  • Approximately 50 viewers read our paper during an active month
  • We’ve been able to promote our efforts through social media, increasing readership

Now that the number of members in our staff is on the rise and the platform is less foreign, we hope to go beyond the standard upload of an article with a captivating headline and an appealing image by incorporating elements such as video interviews and bilingual features. As we strive to tell the stories of our Lions, we hope that you will join us by exploring our paper, spreading the word, or contributing your talents.
